  • Today is one of those rare days when I have the opportunity to run all three of my fabricators at once: the Shapeoko, the Stacker and the Muse.
  • The Shapeoko cut another set of yokes for the CEIA Magnetometer Storage Dolly.
  • The Stacker is printing out a filament dispenser for my Deltaprintr.
  • The Muse is engraving a architectural drawing of some of the Portland Willamette River crossing bridges.
  • While waiting for the big three to finish, I sewed up a few more feed bags for Classy.
  • The feed bag design was inspired by sandwich bags. For durability, I used poly tarps with this simple layout.
  • I wired up this 12-volt LED flood light for one of my solar recharging stations.
  • Another addition to the MakerCave Gallery…

  • A friend asked me to create a holder for the battery charger of his drone. With the help of the FSL Muse Laser Engraver and Cutter, here is what I came up with…
  • He seems happy with it.
  • I also cut pole mounting clamps for the next solar recharging station.
  • While waiting for cuts to complete, I loaded StarCraft Remastered on the MakerCave iMac.
  • And made a parking directional sign for the Amphitheater…

  • I worked on mounting brackets for the next solar recharging station. Instead of being mounted to square perforated tube, this station will be mounted to a round solid tube. I used the Shapeoko to cut out the (4) pieces for the mounting blocks, two pieces per block. I glued the two pieces together. For better hold on the round tube, I cut a 5° angle on the mounting surface to the second half of the French cleat.
  • I did some more experimentation with the FSL Muse Laser Engraver and Cutter. More trout with A River Runs Through It quotes…
  • Did a trash and recycling run.
  • Allowing the solar recharging station catch some last rays of sun…

  • I worked on a solar charging station with the 60-watt solar panel.
  • With the solar charging station finished and I waiting for Jill and McKenzie to pick me up to go to dinner, I did some more experimentation with my Muse Laser Engraver and Cutter. Now I worked on trout cutouts with A River Runs Through It quotes engraved on them. Of course, Jill had to point out a mistake I made in the quote.

  • The controller stack for the Full Spectrum Laser Muse Laser Engraver and Cutter came back yesterday, and today I finally had a chance to reinstall it. So far so good…
  • Now we need to run a job to make sure it works properly. Truthfully, this is only the third job I have run on this machine since its purchase at the end of May.
  • The end result turned out well.
  • I need to build two more solar charging stations.
  • I ordered a 60-watt solar panel from Amazon.
  • I have another 30-watt solar panel from a previous project.
  • I ordered (2) solar charge controllers from Amazon.
  • I ordered (2) 12-Volt 20ah batteries from Amazon.
