  • Now the X-Carve was put to the task of cutting out the main sign…
  • I painted the Jedi Challenges visor shelf and the bottom lightsaber Holder…
  • I decided to make the lightsaber blade holders from acrylic cut on the Muse Laser Cutter and Engraver.
  • The layout of the sign elements looked good.
  • I applied the first coat of chalkboard paint to the main sign.
  • The bracket to hold the Jedi Challenges Tracking Light was printed.

  • Shop needs TOILET PAPER!
  • Added felt pads (leftovers from some IKEA furniture) to the back of the Luke Skywalker Tauntaun Sign

  • The water flow sensor is normally open (I think), or off. The flow switch is used to protect the K40 Laser Engraver and Cutter laser tube as it uses water as a cooling agent. The idea is to prevent the operation of the laser engraver if the water isn’t flowing.

  • When I simulate water flow by blowing into the sensor, the switch closes, or turns on.

  • Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Day! Time to recommit one’s self to fighting injustice. It is far from being eradicated.
  • Kazuki decided. to join me today

  • Mounted a radio charger base to the holder

  • Drilled the holes for the charger base cords

  • Painted a black border around the Luke Skywalker Tauntaun Sign

  • I would like to try and get my electronics station set and organized today, using the Anthro Standing Cart I picked up from Portland Community Media.
  • During a cleaning frenzy a couple of days ago, I found the water flow sensor I purchased from lightobjects.com. I would also like to get that installed onto the K40 Laser Cutter and Engraver.
  • Mounted the (6) charge bases to the holder

  • Cutting mounting holes in the PCM TV Shroud on the Shapeoko

  • I slotted the mounting holes on the shroud for flexibility in positioning the shroud on the wall when mounted. My ability to accurately measure and set anchors in concrete block is questionable at best.

  • Added second layer of cherry-colored wood filler

  • Sanded away the wood filler and filled the inage with gray paint

  • Cutting a side wall of the Baefong Radio Charging Bank on the Shapeoko

  • Baefong Radio Charging Bank Holder

Assembled the Baefong Radio Charging Bank Holder

  • Cleaned up my sloppy paint job by sanding away my mistakes

  • Bolted my platform to the Printrbot Simple Metal for easier transport

  • I broke the 3mm tap in one of the holes I drilled into the base of the Printrbot Simple Metal. I need to remember to utilize the proper drillbit size. I used a #40 size bit and should have used a #39 size bit. Live and learn.
